# Waiting List Management

Use the **Waiting List** tab to create and manage waiting list appointments.

### Steps to Book a Waiting List Appointment

* Open the **Doctor Desktop** screen by navigating to **Home > Dashboard > Doctor Desktop.**
* Navigate to the **Waiting List** tab in the Left Panel.
* Now, click the **Plus** icon to **Waiting List** pop-up.
* Follow the usual [**New** or **Existing Patient**](/uniteemr/application-modules/scheduler/waiting-list-management/add.md) appointment process.\
  \&#xNAN;***Note:** For **New Patient** appointment, while honouring the appointment, the system redirects to the **Patient Register** screen for patient registration.*
* After entering the required details, click **SAVE**.&#x20;
* The waiting list appointment appears in the section.&#x20;
* Based on slot availability, use the **Move to Appointment** icon to move the appointment.&#x20;
