# Text Editor

The **Text Editor** option in the Diagnosis tab enables healthcare professionals to record custom information against specific items, such as referrals or patient advice.

### Accessing the Text Editor

* In the Diagnosis tab, locate the item for which you want to add custom information.
* Click the **Open Text Editor** icon.
* The **Text Editor** pop-up will appear, providing a free text area for data entry.

* Enter the information in the text area and click **SAVE** to save the information.

### Using the Text Editor

The Text Editor is primarily used for the following purposes:

* **Referrals**: To document additional notes or instructions related to a patient’s referral.
* **Patient Education**: To capture specific guidance or advice, such as diet or exercise recommendations.

In addition to patient demographics, this editor allows healthcare professionals to add custom information relevant to the patient visit.

If a doctor needs to provide dietary guidance, they can document the advice in the Text Editor, adding it to the patient record.

### Saving and Accessing Text Editor Entries

* After entering information, the content is automatically saved in the **Documents** tab.
* The saved content will be listed under the specific item type name and is accessible as a Word file.
* Users can **view**, **download**, or **print** the saved file from the Documents tab.
