# Teleconsultation Visit-Zoom

Healthcare professionals can use this feature to initiate consultations via **Zoom** video call.

### Prerequisites for Starting a Teleconsultation

Before initiating a teleconsultation, ensure the following requirements are met:

* **Zoom** integration must be configured in the Unite EMR.
* The doctor user must be enabled with the **Teleconsultation** feature in the [**Users** ](/uniteemr/master-modules/user-setup/users.md#steps-to-create-a-user-profile-for-clinical-staff)screen.
* The patient’s email address must be updated in the [**Patient Register**](/uniteemr/application-modules/patient-register/view-or-modify-patient-information.md), as the appointment link will be sent to the email address captured in the system.
* A teleconsultation appointment or visit is scheduled for the day.

### Steps to Start a Teleconsultation Visit

* Open the **Current Medical Records** **(Home > Medical Records > Current Medical Records)** screen.
* Click the teleconsultation visit to start the consultation. A message will appear asking you to confirm.

* Once you confirm, a new window opens with the **Zoom** video call details. The meeting can be joined in a web browser or through the Zoom desktop app.\
  \&#xNAN;***Note:** Simultaneously, the patient must join the teleconsultation using the link sent to their registered email address.*

* The patient's medical details can be recorded in the [**Medical Records**](/uniteemr/application-modules/medical-records.md) screen in **Unite EMR**, in parallel with the **Zoom** consultation.

* Click **SAVE** to complete the consultation.
